We can assure you that VETEC Ventiltechnik GmbH has been informed in detail about Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006 concerning the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), which came into force on 1 June 2007, and has determined the effects and requirements in this regard.
We produce products that may be subject to the REACH regulation and are therefore downstream users.
The REACH Candidate List, which serves as the basis for the restriction or authorization according to Article 59 (1, 10) and Article 33, was published on September 01, 2008. This list of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) has been continuously expanded since then. From January 5, 2021 on, economic operators have to register products with notifiable SVHC in the SCIP database of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) for the purpose of better recycling and waste management. Therefore, checking whether our products contain an SVHC substance > 0.1 mass% is an ongoing process.
We apply the calculation method "once a product, always a product" (O5A) for each (formerly) independent product on a parts list individually.
In the course of our supplier monitoring, we are in close contact with our suppliers and inform our customers about affected VETEC products if necessary.
Conversion from chromating to iridescent passivation
VETEC Ventiltechnik GmbH is aware of its responsibility for sustainability. We always strive to use environmentally compatible and resource-saving state-of-the-art processes for our products and manufacturing methods.
For this reason, VETEC Ventiltechnik GmbH converted all parts with a chrome VI chromate coating to an iridescent passivation several years ago, so that the DIRECTIVE 2011/65/EU of June 8, 2011 on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ROHS 2) and the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Ordinance are complied with for our products.
