VETEC noise reductions offer an effective, reliable and cost-effective way of minimising noise emission, cavitation and erosion. The components can be adapted to the respective operating conditions and, depending on the type, are effective in both flow directions. Existing valves can be retrofitted with VETEC sound reductions.
Application of sound attenuation devices
The free jet leaving the throttling area and its turbulent mixing zone determines the noise emission of control valves and the connected pipeline. The noise-reducing components Type SM 1.x to SM 4.x achieve a particularly effective noise reduction by shortening the free jet length in gaseous and vaporous media and accelerate the momentum exchange in the mixing zone. Type SM 8.x to SM 9.x components reduces cavitation and noise.
