This Pressure Swing Application (PSA) included unfiltered catalysts which lead to a regular leakage at the packing of the globe valve. From customer’s view, the only way to reduce the stress here was switching to a rotary valve.
The customer made the right decision. Where the sliding stem valve had to be serviced regularly every 200 000 cycles, the VETEC rotary plug valve type 72.3 is continuously in operation for more than 1 000 000 cycles without any service!
Uptime and safety are increased, TCO are reduced!
